She hears steps in the shadows of a desolate street.
One more night searching someone who’d cherish her
But she did not keep track of her feet.
Now she’s feeling the presence, The familiar dread.
And she knows she can’t fight the temptation
But her heart is so full of regret.
Because! Creeping, crawling An animal on the prowl.
Watch out darling
So easy to get lured by its tentative howl.
It is a foul beast, sweating and stinking And
clinging its claws deep into her thighs.
Landslide of lust, deeper she’s sinking
And screaming with pleasure now slowly she dies.
Her poor little heart is beating.
It echoes the sound of the midnight bell as it counts to twelve and the fear puts her under a spell.

She’ll close her eyes and weep The night will keep
Her tears concealed But the wounds on her skin never heal.
Her heart exposed She’s chasing a ghost
But all she attracts is the beast with two backs
And oh, she just wants to be loved. Wants to be loved.

Gaping jaws will leave scars on her body
Marking her as an immoral child.
One more toll and her soul will be broken
A contract unspoken to chain her forevermore.
Because! Gnawing, biting. A predator and its prey.
You’re still fighting But you know it’s already too late.
You are sealing your fate. And her heart so full of regret.
Where is the love? Was it all in her head?
You know it is no use. I am already inside your head.
And when the bell strikes midnight baby, you’ll be forever mine!
Takes more skill to tame than it does to defeat it.
So few have attempted, far less have succeeded.
But you little child, you might have what it takes.
Take a look at yourself don’t you see that we’re one and the same?
And she laughs because now she is certain
What lurks in the shadows is not what she feared.
No surprise as she draws back the curtain And sees what appears,
but a mirror reflecting a BEAST WITH TWO BACKS!
Because! Shifting, shaping A lamb that turns into a wolf.
There’s no escaping So you might as well trust the impulse.
And her poor little heart’s still beating.
It continues the sound of the midnight bell since the tapestry fell
And THE girl came to terms with herself.

With open eyes she sees The moon reveals
Her teardrunken face but it’s changed rearranged with a strange kind of animalistic appeal. Her heart defiled, The immoral child! She walks in the tracks of the beast with two backs.
